week 22: Heat and temperature

This week we are reviewing heat and temperature in class for your test on Thursday.  Think about what we are doing as a test review and the things that you have learned about heat and temperature and answer the following questions.

What is the concept that you struggle with the most?

What  concept do you have the least trouble with?

Is there a concept that you know you have mastered 100%, if so what is it?

Remember, for full credit you need to include one original comment as well as comment on at least one other person's post.
As always keep it clean and have a great week:)
If you have trouble blogging then send your blog post to my email through the Aldine website.

  1. i'm not sure on what concept i'm struggling on but i know how to find the specific heat and how to do the equation.

    1. Me too, the equation for specific heat doesn't give me any trouble.

    2. yea that's the easiest part. its all those definitions.

    3. Everyone seems to find this as the easiest part! :)

  2. I'm okay with the concepts dealing with math, using the formulas are easy, it's the other types of questions that i struggle with the most.

    1. I agree. The other questions are the not so easy ones.

    2. yes... me too. like word problems.

    3. I agree. The Math is pretty easy. Questions about the molecules and their increase in temp and speed is what really worries me>_<

  3. I have mastered the formula/math part 100%. Im struggling with knowing what conduction, convection and radiation like indentifying them.

  4. the concept i have the most trouble with is convection. i don't get it to well. i'm really good with the math. That's probably my 100%.

  5. I really don't have a concept I strugle in, but like on the test we took on thursday...I strugled through a question that talked about molecules and how they spread when increase in temp. occurs and it asked to state why that was true???IDK but I put that its density increases when the molecules change phase or temp. increases. We should go over the test on tuesday. lol. My strongest concept is finding the specific heat. The math is really easy.:D

  6. I Get Most Of It Just sometimes i struggle with the math part but over all its very easy.

  7. I am very good with the math and formula problems but I struggle remembering convection and conduction.

  8. I don't struggle with using the equations because I find them pretty easy. I think that I struggle most with the questions that don't require equations and require you to use what you already know.

    1. i fully agree. The equation is super easy!! I think the defenitons for convection conduction and radiation get mixed up in my head too much.

  9. I have mastered the concept of using the formula because I memorized it :)!!yeay! woot woot lol but I am horrible!!!! at remembering what types of heat transfer through gases liquids and solids. I also get convection and radiation mixed up alooooooooot!!! : /

  10. the whole algebra part of what we've been learning has come very easy to me. The only problem is giving examples of what convection and radiation heat transfer is.

  11. The concept that I have mastered is using the formulas, but I struggle a little when it comes to remembering the difference between conduction and convection.

  12. I think the math is easy to do, the difficult part is the definitions.

  13. Math is the easy part but the hard part is when it describes you the phase change or conduction, convection, and radiation.

  14. The part I think I mastered are the ones with formulas because all you do is plug them in, I just forget what the variables stand for and I get convention and conduction confused .
