- What is one concept (motion maps, graphs, written descriptions, etc.) that you struggled with the most?
- What is one concept that you felt you have mastered?
- What is one thing that you will you do differently during the next unit so that you can increase your test/lab practicum score?
As always, you must reply to the questions and comment on another post. Keep it clean and positive (no bullying, no foul language) and have a great week!
I think that im on track, its just hard for me to stay focused when you are teaching but whenevever we do a worksheet over it i pick it up fast lol idk if that is good but i mean atleast i understand it at the end..... i think that me, steph, and karla did good on our practicum, bc we were close to the time you gave us on the photo one... we were off by a tenth of a second since we avg'd everything out :o
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome that you can pick up something so fast. I wish i were able to do that. If i didn' t pay attention i'd be completly lost and frustraded.
DeleteYes you need to stop sleeping in class, but I admire how you can pretend you're working and not get caught. lol
DeleteGurl yes, you need to stop falling asleep!
DeleteI feel like my weakness in this unit is graphs. I think maybe its because i have trouble deciding what goes on the x-axis and what goes on the y-axis. But i'am really good with motion graphs, those are just soooo easy. And I supose in order for me to understand the unit better and get higher scores i should stay after school, so that i may receive additional help. :)
ReplyDeleteThink of the graph this way, it is called a position- time graph. Well Position is first in the title and we read from left to right and writhe from left to write well the y-axis is closer to the left just as position soooooo position is on the y-axis and time is on the x-axis. hopes tht helps because that how i remember :)
DeleteI think that my weakness is equations. I think I'm best at motion maps. I will study more starting next week to be prepared for our tests. I feel that Nidia, Stephanie and I work great together.
ReplyDeleteI agree the equations can be tricky but with practice you'll get them. A great tool could be your peers or just simply asking for help with Ms.Schramm.
DeleteMy stuggle is whenever we have to use the chart to calculate Velocity Speed and Distance and Displacement. I mean when I look at the chart for what seems FOREVER I catch on, but I think that I can get faster when dealing with them with more practice. I have master how to calculate velocity and writing written descriptions. In my group we accomplish our goal the first time around (making the two buggies crash into eachother) mad me feel like a mad scientist. lol
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree, calculating velocity, speed, and displacement is definitely my weakness. I barely got it today during A lunch lol.I'm also with ya on written descriptions, I feel like those are free-bees! :)
DeleteI think I've struggled most with graphing from motion maps because i never start at time being zero. I think I've mastered written descriptions the best. Next time I want to make sure i ask questions on all my doubts and double check with partners:)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you to because I have lots of trouble with the velocity vs time graphs...
DeleteI think I struggle mostly on the maps like velocity . I finally mastered how to read the motion map. Well I got a 100 but I would ask questions more!
ReplyDeletei also struggle wit the velocity motion maps
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHonestly to me describing the motion was a little difficult, I would get confused sometimes. To read the velocity vs. time graph and to then describe it was confusing. The descriptions I would say is what I have mastered, drawing out the graph for position vs. time is fairly easy. I think something that would help me out a little more is if I had more notes, so definitely I'll write notes and just ask for help when needed.
ReplyDeleteI agree, some more notes would be helpful.
DeleteI think the hardest concept for me to grasp was using the position time graph to determine either the same distance traveled of two objects moving in opposite directions. Other than that i believe that have mastered motion maps and descriptions.
ReplyDeleteI believe that if i place closer attention to the class instruction, i'd be more susceptible to comprehending what is being taught.
One concept that I've struggled with the most is probably when we have to find out the displacement and velocity, but that only happened because I wasn't paying attention. One concept I feel that I have mastered would be written descriptions, I love those, they're like free-bees! One of many things I plan to do is put more effort and this time seriously encode whats going on, I was realllly surprised on what my test grade was.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same when it comes to written descriptions.
DeleteI think you're right the written descriptions are pretty easy to do.
DeleteI agree with you when it comes to writing the descriptions they are really easy to write. :D
Deletei believe that one of the things i struggled with would be the written descriptions because i didn't really know what to put about the graph...and well know i believe that i have mastered how to use motion maps...and next time i would study more for the test so next time instead of a 70 i could get a 100.
ReplyDeleteI struggled most with the velocity vs. time graphs and I'm not particularly sure why but after further explanation I'm understanding it a lot more now.
ReplyDeleteI feel I have mastered mathematical models and solving equations because its mostly math with different names.
I think asking more questions, tutorials, and finding a study partner will help me understand and focus on the material a lot more.
I'm good at velocity vs time graphs I can help u in fons or at lunch
DeleteI think that's the main reason I understand the mathematical models too, because its just math and that's the subject I'm best at.
Deletesame here i have trouble in the velocity vs time graphs.
DeleteI struggled most with descriptions but felt confident with velocity time graphs. Next unit I will focus more as well as ask for help in the mornings when your on hallway duty. Lol
ReplyDeleteThe descriptions were frustrating until I completely understood them.
DeleteI don't feel like I struggled with any concept. I feel like I mastered all the concepts. Next week I will study more.
ReplyDeleteTheir isnt much to actaully study, its just the basic understanding of reading graphs.
DeleteI don't think it's just a simple "understanding of reading graphs" but you have to know how to create a story in your head and how to put the story into a "drawing" of sorts that fits the graph needed.
DeleteCheese?
ReplyDeleteWhich cheese are we talking about here?
DeleteCheddar?
Mozzarella?
Parmesan?
Swiss?
Monterey Jack?
Guys don't forget the crackers!
DeleteI been distracted because work and being really tired lately
ReplyDeletegraphing it on the velocity graph
ReplyDeletewritten descriptions
ask for help study more, and come to tutorials if i need to.
I was a little confused on that to but is very simple right now its always a constant velocity so its just a straight line either on the positive or negative side and the slope/speed of it tellsyou how far away or closer you put the line.
DeleteI think i got this down, i just think of everything as basic geometery. I guess I shoulda studied a little longer than 30 mins.
ReplyDeleteI think we all need to study or else we wont pass w an A
DeleteI think i get this whole topic in general. Its not so much as the graph.but picking the equation of solving the problem
ReplyDeleteOne thing I feel I mastered is the position vs. Time graphs.
ReplyDeleteyo tambien. no esta complicado. jaja
Deletems. schramm what exactly are we supposed to say when we reply?
Position vs time is something i need to work on!
DeleteI also felt like I mastered the position vs. time graphs.
DeleteMy biggest problem is just deciding which equation to use to solve the problem. I understand motion maps and graphing. Next time I could just study more.
ReplyDeleteI would recommend tutorials. Mrs.schramm can teach you one on one and she makes it super easy.

ReplyDeleteHmm...one concept that I've been struggling with these past few days was the Velocity VS. Time Graphs. However, I feel that it's not really that it's confusing that much anymore now that I understood how to do it out of nowhere, and assistance from my buds.
ReplyDeleteSome concepts that I feel that I've mastered are the written descriptions and creating the graphs.
Some things I can do the next unit to increase my scores are to focus more, do my homework on time do I can actually learn from it without haste, and to attempt to reduce the frequency of my tendency to randomly laugh (I blame the internet!) during class when you're teaching, so I don't look like a maniac and distract myself.
One thing I think I struggled with was the graphs, and what i feel I mastered was the motion graphs and the descriptions. One thing I could differently I would say is for me to practice and study the concept for me to know it.
ReplyDeleteI struggled with the motion maps a lot. idk is like i get it when were working on it together but when i got the test i blanked out, but i've noticed that i finally understood how to do a position vs time graph so that a good thing. i just really need to work on those motion maps and their descriptions.
ReplyDeleteI struggled the most with the written descriptions and I think I mastered the motion maps and the mathematical equations pretty well. The thing I can do next time to make sure I understand the concept better would be to actually study and to ask questions when I don't understand something.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I didn't have a problem with the concept. I have mastered the Velocity vs. Time graphs. One thing I will do is include the words speed or velocity in my written description.
ReplyDeletei mastered graphing.
ReplyDeletei struggled finding the formula of two objects intercepting at one spot.
Next time i will remember to write my units of measurements.
I had trouble with the velocity time graphs because I didn't know that the faster it gots the further away from the origin but other than that everything was easy. next time I will read more carefully.
ReplyDeleteI had trouble with it too but I just read them and I got the hang of it now
DeleteI think that I am mostly struggling with the graphing part.. Also the formula and finding all of that stuff, and I think I mastered the motion maps and written part, its quite easy. And next time ill pay closer attention and try not to sleep, but it's soooo hard since it's after lunch haha :(
ReplyDeleteI have accomplished this but I still need to work on the position and velocity graphs
ReplyDeleteWell I did pretty good at the lab, and meracelesly I did pretty good on my test also. I didn't get to finish 2 of the pages but I still got everything I did do right so I made it. Um I guess for the next test I'll just work faster.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm good at motion maps, but I still have a little trouble with written descriptions. Next time I will focus more in class and go to tutorials if I don't understand something.
ReplyDeleteSame here I will try to go to the tutorials. Carolina m.
DeleteI struggled with the motion maps but I think I'm getting better at drawing them. I think I've mastered the written descriptions and the graphs. I did pretty good on the lab practicum and test but a way I can do better next time is to stop doubting myself and my answers.
ReplyDeleteI did good on the lab, but in the test I struggled on finding displacement mostly. I made a lot of dumb mistakes by not putting numbers in the right place, explaining written responses more thoroughly, and completely focusing during the test. I think I have a good idea on how to do it, but I need to master the concepts to guarantee a better test score so I will be attending tutorials to get extra help.
ReplyDeleteI feel like my weakness was using the velocity vs time graph to find the displacement of an object and I'm stronger in writing the descriptions. I feel like I well in my lab and in the test. For next time I would try to panic less while taking the test and maybe go to some tutorials.
ReplyDeleteI think that I wont have a problem with any of these concepts until we learn new ones and I end up forgetting this. One thing I did have a problem though, were the dots. There are some graphs that turn from positive to negative WITHOUT a second+ at not moving.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I made silly mistakes on my test that could have been avoided.
I think i have mastered position graphs they're actually really fun to graph almost as if solving a puzzle.I am having trouble with velocity graphs i don't know why i confuse myself it's a little confusing to me
ReplyDeleteWe kinda have the same problem here
DeleteYes, graphing is a little confusing ,hopefully we get the hang of it soon .
DeleteWell the description seemed pretty simple to me the graphs were the only catch. After reviewing the on you tube maybe one on one with peers or by the power invested in me staying for tutorial to get a clear consice about the material would be helpful.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'll do just go on you tube!!!..
DeleteI feel like i've mastered the graphing & describing the motions but i had a hard time when it came to doing the velocity stuff. I did pretty good on the lab but i did bad on the test so next time i'm gonna try to go to tutorials before we have a test so i can understand everything better .
ReplyDeleteYes. True. Yeah.
DeleteI feel as if I did very well on motion maps but poorly on describing the motion because I know what exactly is going on I just cannot put it into words very well.
ReplyDeleteNext time I will try to ask more questions
ReplyDeleteI think if I am not wrong I have mastered the written description part of the graphs. I still need a little more practice in my velocity graphs. I will go to tutorials or ask questions. Carolina M.
ReplyDeleteI feel like im doing ok, its good that we changed setas so now I can pay attention lol but I got the graphing and describing part kinda down. I need to work on the displacement & speed, but with practice im sure ill get it. I think my group did good on our lab
ReplyDeleteThe one concept I struggled with the most are the graphs! The one concept i felt i have mastered were telling the position of the graph in words. One thing I would do differently is go to my peers for a better understanding in class and try not to fall asleep because I get really tired. ):
ReplyDeleteThe concept(s) i struggled with was the graphs. ALL OF THEM, sadly but true. I haven't felt like i mastered in anything yet. I'm still getting the hang of things so we shall see later. Although one thing i would do differently ask in different forms.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Elizabeth Istruggle with the all the graphs ,but now little by ;little im getting the hang on how to do it I just need to study &pay attention more in class and ask for help from my group memebers when I dont understand it or need help with a problem, but we shall see next time on how much i can get right and do on the next assignment.
DeleteI'm doing good so far I feel like all the concepts are easy, but graphing can be challenging at times. I enjoy finding equations and velocity I find it entertaining and a bit challenging. I think I'm going to stay more often after school whenever I feel unsure over something we learn in class .
ReplyDeletethe concept i had the trouble in was probably the velocity vs time graphs. the concept i believe i've done the best in is the motion maps. for the next unit i need to stay focus more because i tend to get distracted fast & then i'm lost & missed most of what you say. About the lab part it was pretty eays i was just over thinking it waaaaaay too much.
ReplyDeleteI also get distracted easily, and i understand what you are trying to explain.
DeleteI had the most trouble with math models and graphing/motion maps.
ReplyDeleteI found describing the graphs was very easy to do.
Next time i'lll pay attention more.
I have a hard time understanding the motion maps & graphing it ,because i dont understand how to do it i have a hard time paying attention in your class when you talk i tend to fall asleep which is bad ,beause i failed the test for not paying atttention to the work you give us. I do know how to do the written descriptions and explaining the movement on the graph. I dolike the new seat i am in i stay awake now and i pay attentiuon more and starting to get the hang of how to do the motion maps and graphing a little more better.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tooken the test cause I was absent the day everyone was taking it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get anything at all, but now I kind of do... but thats what tutorial are for--
ReplyDeleteI'm comfortable with written descriptions. I struggled with the last 2 questions.
ReplyDeleteMy weakness is graphing & sometimes I get velocity& speed confused. The concept I felt that I mastered is understanding the written descriptions. Next time , I'll for help if I don't understand something .
ReplyDeleteyou should try going to tutorials and it will help out more
DeleteI have done pretty good in all areas, i just have trouble calculating some of the average speeds or velocities. I think i should go to tutorials to get more practice.
ReplyDeleteI have struggled with finding speed and velocity. I mastered graphing, motion maps, and written descriptions. I will be more focused in class, and I will do and turn in all my assignments.
ReplyDeleteI think I am doing okay with the concept. At first it was kind of confusing for me but after doing the worksheets and homework i understood it better. I think i should go to tutorials one day to get some extra help on it.
ReplyDeleteI struggled on my graphing and ima study more to improve my skillzzzz so I can improve
ReplyDeleteThis unit was actually pretty difficult for me to grasp. I Dont understand displacement. I should have stayed afterschool to go over it . Im blaming my self and next time i will not have such bad grades. The Thing i mastered is probably finding the equation of the line . Me and Liz aced our lab practicum . Im so proud . But for sure i`ll stay after school this week.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty comfortable with the written descriptions. I had trouble with the velocity vs time graphs. After these several weeks I think I understand everything. I will attend tutorials when I need help and study more
ReplyDeletethe velocity vs time was one of the most confusing questions on the test... after doing a couple of review questions you'll understand it :)
Deletei feel that i struggled most with the velocity graphs. i think i mastered the position vs. time graphs. one thing i will do differently next time is come to tutorials when i don't fully understand something.
ReplyDeleteI struggled on graphing the velocity/time graphs quite a lot, but after a couple of reviews that I did on my own time, I ended up understanding it. I felt pretty confident with the position/time graphs.
ReplyDeleteThe concept that I felt like I mastered was the motion maps. I did very well on every question related to motion maps on the test.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I understood the basic motion maps and postion vs time. what keep throwing me off what the speend formula I keep working it out as if it was trying to determine the average velocity.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I've struggled with the motion graphs and I thin I've mastered the position vs time graphs. To be better in the next unit I will study more and do my homework.
ReplyDelete
